Cystic Fibrosis is a cause that is very near and dear to the Arenas Family.  Since the Arenas family began the search for a cure over 20 years ago, they have helped raise over $980,000.  For their efforts, Jerry and Marie Arenas have won the National Restaurant Association's Cornerstone Humanitarian Award for Wisconsin.  Jerry and Marie have also received the 'Breath of Life' award directly from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation twice, once in 1988 and once in 2000.

Themedian age of survival for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients has risen to 36.8 years, up from the previous year's figure of 35.1 years, according to new data released by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
